History
Back in the 1970's many energy industry corporations began moving to Houston to develop campuses close to housing. This would make working for their companies attractive and west Houston had exactly what the energy companies had their eye on. This began the roots of the Houston Energy Corridor.
Much has changed since the 1970's and today, the Houston Energy Corridor is home to a multitude of prestigious energy related companies. Some of these companies include:

Houston Methodist Hospital, Memorial Hermann and Texas Children's Hospital all have locations in or near the Energy Corridor.
Entertainment in Houston
The city of Houston has many attractions and entertaining things to do. Houston is home to the Toyota Center, Reliant Stadium and the Verizon Wireless Theater. Houston hosts plenty of events and sporting teams such as Houston Astros Baseball, Houston Texans Football, Houston Rockets Basketball and the Houston Dynamo Soccer team.
At the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston is able to facilitate many symposiums, trade shows and events right in the heart of the city. Houston also has many major events hosted yearly such as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Houston Marathon, the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) and more.
The Houston Energy Corridor is close to Memorial City Mall and many great restaurants. Close by, residents can commute to Katy, Texas where they can visit Katy Mills Mall and the Bass Pro Shop.
