History
The Spring Branch area of Houston, Texas is a district in Harris County. This area is managed by the Spring Branch Management District. The area of Spring Branch Houston came as a result of a German farmer settlement back in 1830. Karl Koble was Spring Branch's earliest settler. Most of the settlers in the Spring Branch area were either farmers who owned dairies or owned sawmills. Most all of the major roads in Spring Branch are named after early settlers: Gessner, Witte, Wirt, Blalock, Campbell, Conrad Sauer - just to name a few.
After World War II, James E. Lyon became a developer in Spring Branch. Spring Branch was annexed by Houston in the 1940's and the remaining west side of Spring Branch was annexed in the 1950's. After becoming annexed to Houston, Spring Branch began to develop different municipalities such as Memorial Villages.
Today, the Spring Branch area is a thriving community full of great neighborhoods and industry. In fact, in 2013 the cities of Hillshire Village and Spring Valley Village in Spring Branch were named one of the "25 Hottest Neighborhoods" in Houston.

The city of Houston has many attractions and entertaining things to do. Houston is home to the Toyota Center, Reliant Stadium and the Verizon Wireless Theater. Houston hosts plenty of events and sporting teams such as Houston Astros Baseball, Houston Texans Football, Houston Rockets Basketball and the Houston Dynamo Soccer team.
The Spring Branch area of Houston has many entertaining spots that are suitable for all. Memorial City Mall is located off of Beltway 8 and I-10 and has many stores, an ice rink and plenty of upscale dining options.
Spring Branch Houston has many beautiful wooded areas, parks are wild life preserves in the area to enjoy. Terry Hershey Park runs directly through Spring Branch and has a long biking and running trail that expands from Highway 6 out to Beltway 8.
